Choosing Frames

How to Pick Frames… Glasses say so much about who you are. They frame your face and distinguish your look. Our doctors and knowledgeable staff will work closely with you to create glasses that fit your visual needs and aesthetic style.

HERE ARE SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR CHOOSING A FRAME:

  1. Pick a shape different than your face shape.
  2. Don’t expect one pair of glasses to work for all of your fashion and vision needs. Just as you wouldn’t wear the same shoes for sports as for a cocktail party, or you wouldn’t use a basketball to play tennis with, one pair of glasses can’t meet your various looks and needs.
  3. Most of the time the size should be in scale with your face size. Glasses too wide cause the eyes to look close together, “beady eyes”. Frames too low make the face look droopy. The right size will frame the eyes and look like they belong on that face.
  4. Colors can be fun and accentuate your skin, hair and eye color. People look best in “their colors,” either a cool or warm tone. Whether you want something bold or subtle, the color can make all the difference.
